First Launch

Getting Started

When you launch FriskyMouse for the first time, the app starts minimized in the system tray (notification area near the clock).

  1. Find the tray icon

    Look for the FriskyMouse icon in the system tray. You may need to click the up arrow (^) to see overflow icons.

  2. Open the settings window

    Double-click the tray icon, or right-click it and select Show, to open the main settings window.

  3. Enable a feature

    Toggle any feature on from its tab. The Spotlight is a great one to start with. It immediately highlights your cursor with a glow circle.

  4. Customize

    Adjust size, color, opacity, and other options to suit your display and presentation style.

Default Behavior

Section titled “Default Behavior”
  • All features start disabled. You choose what to enable.
  • Settings are saved automatically.
  • The app launches at login by default (configurable).
