Installation

FriskyMouse can be installed in three ways. Choose the method that best fits your needs.

Microsoft Store

The recommended installation method. The Store version receives automatic updates and is verified by Microsoft.

1. Open the Microsoft Store app and search for FriskyMouse.
2. Click Get / Install.
3. Once installed, launch FriskyMouse from the Start menu.

Note

The Store version is framework-dependent and requires the .NET Desktop Runtime. Windows will install it automatically if needed.

Direct Download

Download the latest self-contained build from the Download page. This build bundles the .NET runtime, so no extra dependencies are required.

1. Download the latest .exe installer from the Download page.
2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.
3. Launch FriskyMouse from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

Portable

The portable version needs no installation. Extract and run.

1. Download the portable .zip from the Download page.
2. Extract the archive to any folder.
3. Run FriskyMouse.exe directly.

Tip

Portable mode stores all settings next to the executable, making it ideal for USB drives. See Portable Mode for details.
